The increase in environmental pollution and the huge amount of plastic used have become one of the major ecological problems that must be paid attention to. In order to be a responsible manufacturer, taking into account the direction of our activities and responding to ecological problems, we take measures and actions that help reduce the impact of the company&#8217;s activities on nature and the environment. We believe that every packaging manufacturer must not only look for advanced, less harmful packaging solutions, but also educate their customers about the possibility of such a choice. During the implementation of the project, various tests were carried out, which are defined as necessary by the EU directive, the harmonized standards of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts: tests determining the vibration effect, compression, the lower thermal value of the packaging mass, and tests on the puncture resistance of product packaging. After summarizing the research that was carried out during the implementation of the project &#8220;Management of packaging supplied to the domestic market and packaging waste in accordance with Lithuanian sustainable standards in the company AZ-Pack, UAB, system&#8221;, preventive measures to reduce the consumption of raw materials in the company were also discussed. <\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Clearly defined sustainable standards made it possible to re-evaluate the alternative vacuum packaging offered on the market and the materials used in their production. Based on the main criteria that allow us to judge the quality and uniqueness of the product, we can reasonably assess whether the packaging meets the intended requirements, the definition of optimal packaging. Based on scientific research, the indicators of the strength, oxygen and water vapor, carbon dioxide permeability of the film used for the production of packaging provide a completely new understanding of quality packaging.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a071c1a elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"a071c1a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-808ad85 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"808ad85\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-wide\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-82992de\" data-id=\"82992de\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3902955 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3902955\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Packaging waste management<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3faba47 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3faba47\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>The requirements indicate that a package will have to be in compliance not only with all European Union packaging and packaging waste directives, but also with the requirements of the Harmonized Standards:<\/b><\/p><ul><li>the packaging has to be optimum &#8211; made from a minimum quantity of materials and filled to maximum capacity (RL Standard LST EN 13428:2006);<\/li><li>total concentration of heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, and hexavalent chromium, shall not exceed 100 ppm of the packaging weight (RL Standard LST 1655:2002);<\/li><li>chemical substances or preparations content in packaging shall have to be decreased down to the smallest sufficient amount (RL Standard LST CEN\/TR 13695-2:2004);<\/li><li>the possibilities for reusing, composting, the incineration of packaging have been evaluated (RL Standard LST EN 13429:2007\/ LST EN 13430:2007\/ LST EN 13431:2007\/ LST EN 13432:2007).<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The topic of sustainability and ecology is currently very relevant all over the world.
